Can anyone recommend a good glue for Vintage Drums?

Have an old ludwig Vintage Drum Set i recently purchased. B and O badge with blue sparkle wrap. The wrap was slightly seperated at the seams. I sanded off the old glue, and replaced it with a water based contact cement, as I was advised to stick with water based. I was advised to leave it sitting for a week. Now, granted, I left it for 6 days. Near the 7th day, i left them overnight in a hot and humid car, and some of the adhesive gave way. Anyone have any better recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Why don't you try that "Gorilla" glue. That stuff is advertised to hold almost anything.
