yamaha drum covers Cake Help?!?
I make a cake for the end of the year portion of the tape. I want to make a drum or bass or snare. I want to a big cake and cover it with fondant. I would then decorate with gumpaste. I need Yamaha then write on it. How would you advise me to do all these things and where is the cheapest place to get all the supplies I need for this? [Preferably online] Any help would be great. I thank you! :]
You're going to cover it with fondant, and then put another layer of gumpaste about this? That's a lot of people icing will pick because gumpaste tends to be large to small carved decorations, etc., but not to cover an entire cake. You can cover the cake with Fondant (after putting a thin layer of butter on it, of course it will stick), then using cut alphabet or using your own letters and plotted parchment, cut the letters with a craft knife or paring knife. Fix those drum is covered with royal icing or buttercream. In the case of supplies, you really do not need any special equipment. You make a round cake whatever flavor / toppings you want, then cover with a thin layer of butter cream, after it again and the level. Then cover it with your color of fondant that you want to be the drum. With the leftover fondant you do your bit to go on the image can not drum out of a drum now.
