That mixing board should I get?
I'll be putting up a very small home studio together this summer to record some songs with my group. I do not have much money to spend (up to £ $ 700/1000) right now so I do not intend obtain much like gear (pre-amps, rack effects and compressors will come later), a simple sequencer software, a load of microphones with stands, a few DI boxes, sound cards, cheap, and a mixer. At the most I'll be recording with up 8 inputs at once (five microphone inputs for drum mics, three mic / line inputs for guitar and bass, and two mic for voices to be overdubbed later), I need a good level control, pan and EQ, and effects should be sent if I add effects later units. One option for control 3-4/subgroup ALT while monitoring would be preferable, but it is not essential. Any recommendations? I need some something cheap, like a Yamaha or Behringer, but good quality. Thank you.
