The engineer refers to the use of technology for the creation, management and sound production. Most people do are not aware that the sound engineer and his allies technologies are used well beyond the sphere of music, although its use in music is the most popular.
The use of sound engineering is observed in all areas of media, manufacturing, medical, military, sports, science and research, and much more than can be easily listed here. However we limit ourselves to a good engineering related with music and performance.
Sound Engineering Music
As mentioned in engineering already heard sound music appears nowhere. In composition, a writer who sets the mood and tone melody sound produced by musical intuition based internal perception of a sound.
A singer indicators texture or volume of a solid image based on internal what it should sound like singing. The director provides an orchestra swell in the sound and must carry in his speech to the assembly can create it. A bassist gets a high frequency or treble button on your combo is trying to achieve some clarity. The hearing in a concert hall or theater is very relaxed and comfortable because the sound is pleasant to hear.
Anything relating to music for a sort of trial whether to hear a sound or to produce and this is the platform base is based on sound engineering. All appliances high we see and use are intended to help us in our way of producing sounds and how we see when we receive it. The purpose of audio engineering in the music is good comfort, clear and pleasant to hear.
Phase of development of sound technology
The development of engineering rational relationship to music has gone through three main phases, namely the age of acoustics, electronics and recently the old era Digital.
The Age of Acoustics
Man's first musical instruments were designed to exploit the natural laws on aviation and space. Through simple experiments such as blowing air through the tube-like objects such as bamboo and use thin strips of leather and chains quite dry. Similar variations veins of large animals are dried and used as strings.
They hung in empty gourds dry and door manufacturing instruments that could generate small letters started. The terrain, the smoothness and stability of its bamboo depend on various factors acoustics. The sound produced depends on how wide or long tube was. She also depends on how the bamboo dry or wet, it was and how many holes or air intakes have been in the instrument.
The other was a soft or hard it blew small hole or the width of the mouth to breathe. For strings of pumpkin was the soundboard in which it was determined the strength or softness of sound.
The cords of leather has also played a huge role. If you were so elastic that they could not control how tight or loose, he suspended the pumpkin so it is possible to have channels of high or low pitch notes.
The final factor was the player. If a man wanted by the instrument to sound louder than I had to play harder or increase the size of his sounding board. From these basic instruments like guitar, flute, piano, harp, drums, tambourines, maracas and Most instruments used in orchestras traditional African and European officials have been formulated and put into service standards.
It also noticed the difference in the behavior of sound when it was put in different environments within the sea. The awareness that the wind or air movement played an important role in the conduct of the sounds are not lost for humans. Throughout the period indicated quality acoustic instruments made and how they should be played.
Tom Bright-Davies is a multi-talented musician. As a music educationist, he has written numerous materials in areas such as general music, voice, keyboards and production studies. You can access FREE useful resources from his Blog Postings.

When placing the head on the toms drum heads the best in the back of the drum or not? ?
I have Evans g1 in all my toms, but the only problem is that I do not. Know what I should use the following box. (Non-press the button). I also head that comes with drum set and I think that is a cause less noise. In addition, if you have suggestions for a bass drum I am very grateful to them.
If you have Evans G1s on top of your toms. ... Then you should be Evans. G1 on the bottom head is sound too direct. .... If you add the other names it. ... It sounds strange. Or ... you purchased any new drum heads all. www.midwestpercussion.com.

LP Bata Drums $439 LP Founder Martin Cohen first came across bata drums more than thirty years ago at a religious ceremony in the Bronx, New York. Traditionally batas are ceremonial drums that are played in groups. At least three people sit, each with a different size drum, and act out "call and answer" patterns which are played on the drums. They were traditionally rope tuned, but today, through the use of state-of-the-art machinery, LP Bata Drums are wrench tuned. They are made from our specially selected, kiln dried, environmentally friendly Siam Oak and are the most precisely made batas available today. LP Bata Drums are available in three sizes: small or Oconcolo with 5" and 6-3/4" head sizes, medium or Omele/Itolele with 5-3/4" and 9" head sizes, and large or Iya with 6-1/2" and 12-1/2" head sizes. The shape of the shell is gracefully tapered, with increasing thickness to the smallest point, for a great, strong sounding drum. Each natural rawhide head has been carefully chosen for optimum sound quality. LP Bata Drums are available with chrome hardware and are also supplied with a black nylon neck strap, a tuning wrench and LP Lug Lube. |

LP Udu Drums Claytone $34.95 LP Udu Drums possess distinct tonal qualities which range from subtle bass tones to soothing tabla-like tones. Their clay construction is based upon centuries-old African traditions. The name "Udu" has been derived from the Nigerian Ibo language, meaning "pottery". Each LP Udu Drum offers individual tonal values. They can be played by hitting any part of the drum with the palm of the hand or the finger tips. The textured surfaces provide additional tonal variations by creating rubbing sounds. The sound possibilities can be further expanded using the unique microphone ports found in each chamber. Small mics can be mounted for amplification and to capture the wondrous internal sounds. LP Udu Drums are generally played in a seated position with the drum on the player's lap. They can also be played on a table top or floor using the included straw ring stands. LP Udu Drum Claytones are teardrop shaped drums available in four sizes. The smallest Claytone #1, produces high-pitched, cutting, "soprano" sounds. The Claytone #2 gives a slightly fuller, more tenor sound than the #1. The Claytone #3 creates deep, powerful, "baritone" sounds. The Claytone #4 is the largest and produces the deepest and "bassiest" sound of the four drums. Each drum has a side hole in the body and a top hole in the neck for additional sound possibilities as well as textured surfaces for creating rubbing sounds. |
