Im thinking about buying one if I need to know ........
The Xpress 4 is a kit quite correct for the price. Personally I tend to prefer Roland but I will be completely honest in saying do not listen to what people say! The debate Roland Yamaha is an age old (and as old as the drum machine can be!). You will always find people in the trash-talking the 2 companies are saying: do not buy. What I suggest is if you have access to a decent drum store go there and try them both, and at the end go with the one you prefer. And PLEASE do not let a few hundred dollars make a difference in your decision. You'll be spending top dollar on this stuff, so pick one you like or you will regret it cowardly and a some interest in drums because every time you sit down, you wish you could take that place. As I said earlier, I tend to Roland prefer but maybe you do. The kit allows you to compare the Xpress 4 to be the TD9. Couple of quick tips on what the Yamaha kit does not work: USB to transfer data to a computer (you can not import your own sounds good). Song pre-recorded format. WAV (sound much better than MIDI!). Interface is more friendly, etc. As I said shop and make an opinion for yourself.
