Which drum set should i get?
hey i found 2 drumsets on craigslist:
TAMA ROCKSTAR CUSTOM FOR $550
DRUMS- Tama Bass,floor tom, hi tom ,med tom, ROGERS
CYMBALS- 16" crash/18" ride/14" hihats
HARDWARE- Pearl Snare Stand, hihat stand, bass pedal, throne seat, and 2 boom stands
COLOR-DK BURGANDY
or MAPEX M SERIES SET for $400
DRUMS- Mapex Floor tom,high tom,low tom,bass drum, snare
CYMBALS-16"crash/18" ride/Sabian hihats
HARDWARE-hihat stand, crash stand, ride stand, bass kick, mapex throne, and snare stand
COLOR-ORANGE
Which is a better deal for the money? I am leaning towards the MAPEX M SERIES KIT, are they supposed to be really good and how about TAMA ROCKSTARS? Thanks
I would say the Mapex because from what I can understand from what you typed, it seems as though there is a Rogers drum mixed in with the Tama. There's nothing wrong with that, but why spend $150 more for a kit that has mixed drums?
Mapex is not a bad kit at all for a beginner. I started out on a Mapex Venus series and it sounded pretty good.
Get the Mapex and use that extra $150 you will save and get some good heads and some sticks or something.
