Zildjian Cymbals Kit what crash cymbal should i buy?
i'm looking to buy a new crash cymbal for my kit. i have a 16" Zildjian zbt, and i wanna know what size or brand i should get to compliment my current cymbal. thank you!
Every one will have a different opinion about the number of crash cymbals needed in a drum set. One crash is where most of us start. There is this saying: a true drummer, can make use out of one 16 inch bright crash, and play tons of things. Multiple crash cymbals will allow you to make small patterns and get some difference out of your simplistic beats.
If you find your 16 inch crashes are too small and splashy sounding, you may start thinking about bigger crashes in 17 inch and 18 inch or even bigger. Bigger crashes in general fill out the mix a bit better, give more fullness and project the lower to mid range tones. You need also to figure out if you need a long-sustaining crash as on bigger crashes instead of a short accent small crash.
