im getting it because it comes with the cymbals whereas the yamaha is 30 more w/o.
if i should get yamaha, where can i get good cheap cybals?
Is ludwig a good drum company?
and the hole in the bass drum does it affect its loudness?, can it be changed?, or does it make it louder?
thanks for answering
I think that the best place to get drums is musiciansfriend.com
but I would agree and go with the ludwig. And if you do decide to get the yamaha, go to musiciansfriend.com, and there is a section on cymbal packs, and you can get a good cymbal pack cheap. As for the hole in the bass drum, some drummers prefer the hole, as it makes more of a thud sound that some drummers like, especially rock drummers. In addition to the hole, you could (and should) put a blanket in the set to make the sound better (its my preference, as well as many other drummers) also, it is used to mic the bass drum durring shows, or recordings.
