Drum tuning for metal and rock?
I got a drum kit and four months ago I was focusing and watching videos since I have them. This is a series DW and I get the same sound was dull dry snare drum and toms sound like butter bowls, plastic bass drum buzz and is difficult to play. I use the cymbals have a sound really dark. I am at a loss here. I followed directions from videos, not setting the Cross, and even the sharp uneven. PLZ HELP! The heads are stock. size stone, wood, maple DW, Sabian cymbals. Something tells me that I should have chosen the birch is
I used to set the drum and always better to rely on some notes of music. Snare is usually tuned to C Toms D & E to see the G Floor Tom Bass Drum G or F .... Once you attach to these notes, your drum sounds melodious and when the bassist played with you will be like the drum and bass have been merged into a single instrument.
