This story begins when I offered my friend distances Aerostar van for him. He lives on top of a steep dirt hill.

We conducted the truck into the trailer, tied to tight, fixed the weight distribution hitch and headed down the hill. Everything was going well until that the brakes.

Once the work was done, I backed the trailer on the store to get my first look at the trailer brakes. I owned this trailer for almost twenty years and have never seen the inside of brake drums on it. I think it was weather.

My inspection of the first box showed me a little about how electric trailer brakes. There is a magnet drawing cons inside the drum. The friction of the magnet against the drum moves a shoe which in turn moves the other shoe with an action cam.

Very simple. But I see nothing wrong. The shoes look well, the drum is fine except for some brands where the magnet is rubbed. I put the power of the magnet and seems to throw OK. However, the friction of the magnet against the drum was obviously not enough to work shoes.

I could not understand how a magnet could go wrong, but that's what it seemed. A little research on the Internet.

I finally found a site that said the failure was common in the magnetic power brake the trailer. So I went shopping for magnets trailer brake. Most of the places dearest to the magnet that I could buy the General Assembly support. For the pieces one by one local bank would have to pay more than you could buy two sets of support. And the new magnets are included in the assemblies Plywood.

On closer inspection of the trailer brakes, I realized I still did not understand how they worked. Something seemed positive about how cams work. Sure seemed to be stronger than the reverse. And this trailer has always been difficult for backup when the brakes are working well.

A quick glance at the website of Brakes Dexter has confirmed my suspicions. The axle back on my trailer was installed backwards.

Bearings, I decided it did not matter if you turn back, so I decided to simply exchange the brakes left to right.

Having them is the installation of magnets and routing the son not so green a little easier. I found that some lubricants to finish washers through much easier.

Dexter magnets are identified by the color of the thread. The correct shaft for my £ 3500 is the green wire. Beau has not changed in 25 years.

Magnets be held in spring clips which are really difficult to remove. I used a small screwdriver and lever was slightly tilted to the down. The magnets are back with new clips anyway.

I loaded the new bearings with grease and installed the tree New brake drums. They are not brand Dexter, but adapting well.

The wiring was fairly easy to reconnect because there is no polarity of the magnets. Only connect a brake cable lead and a power driver to the ground. Dexter recommends running a separate ground wire, but I just ground the trailer chassis, as was done previously.

Now my brakes on the trailer again.

OK, so I was the first drum rack units. 8 sets of two of my bass. http://www.gibraltarhardware.com/?fa=detail&mid=264&sid=85&cid=31. I can not tell if with. clamps or something to put my toms and cymbals. If purchased, this rack will be purchased by other devices or what? What should I buy? Thank you for you. Answer type.
