The eighties gave birth to many great bands that many believe to have been one hit wonders. However, you will be surprised that Most of their favorite acts are still alive more than ever. Although many are now almost 50 years and shows little or wear on the edges, these bands have not stopped making good music.
Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook never miss a beat when they mourned the suicide of singer Ian Curtis strips in 1980. Sumner took the microphone and act immediately with Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and the addition of new, Gillian Gilbert, Joy Division is instantly became New Order.
It was not long before "Blue Monday" hit the club scene and quickly earned the band its greatest success ever. In almost seven years and a half minutes, "Blue Monday" is one of the longest tracks ever success in the UK. It has been acclaimed by critics strong mass audience.
Since 1980, New Order have recorded eight albums incredible Movement (1981), Power Corruption & Lies (1983), Low-Life (1985) Brotherhood (1986), technical (1989), Republic (1993), Get Ready (2001) and Waiting for the Sirens Call (2005).
"Sirens Call" is come for the fans of New Order by surprise when after a hiatus of four years, was struck with a new resonator guitar leads first album full of songs catchy. The group has never sounded better. Unique vocal style combined with compositions of strings Summers Hooks regrets six sounds, this group has kept its relevance for over 30 years.
Apart from New Order, each member of the group also launched major projects. These projects include animals, Hooks bands "Monaco" and "Vengeance". "Monaco" not only produce very good album, but we have the opportunity to listen brackets has been incredibly vocal style similar to that of Sumner. Gillian and Morris were married in the nineties and procreated with a group called "the other two." Think New Order with Dido singing.
Then it is Bernard Sumner. Her sweet voice and pop-composition engine from 1989 translated well in a group called "Electronics". A group of super-mini class which includes Johnny Marr of Smiths in the studio with Sumner. "Electronics" released three CD's with many of his hit songs in the UK top 20.
Last year, rumors were flying from New Order has been broken forever. This is not the first time and also a great way to promote projects of his group during the break. In November 2009, Sumner has released a new album under the name of "Bad Lieutenant". This release contains 12 relevant New Order sound of pop songs. Bad Lieutenant combined Sumner Manchu forces with colleagues Phil Cunningham (who replaced Gillian on drums in New Order in 2004), and shared vocal duties with Jake Evans, Rambo and Leroy. "Stephen Morris of New Order and Alex James of" Blur "are guests in many tracks.
Any New Order fan ago and present will love this album. They emphasize "Twist of Fate" and "Summer Days" and the two could easily have been Marr recorded with a electronic album. Another highlight is the slow building "Running Out of Luck". This song brings chills your spine before it is completed. Bad Lieutenant is a great way to get your new command SET until the day they decide make a new album ... again.

LP Bata Drums $439 LP Founder Martin Cohen first came across bata drums more than thirty years ago at a religious ceremony in the Bronx, New York. Traditionally batas are ceremonial drums that are played in groups. At least three people sit, each with a different size drum, and act out "call and answer" patterns which are played on the drums. They were traditionally rope tuned, but today, through the use of state-of-the-art machinery, LP Bata Drums are wrench tuned. They are made from our specially selected, kiln dried, environmentally friendly Siam Oak and are the most precisely made batas available today. LP Bata Drums are available in three sizes: small or Oconcolo with 5" and 6-3/4" head sizes, medium or Omele/Itolele with 5-3/4" and 9" head sizes, and large or Iya with 6-1/2" and 12-1/2" head sizes. The shape of the shell is gracefully tapered, with increasing thickness to the smallest point, for a great, strong sounding drum. LP Udu Drums Claytone $34.95 LP Udu Drums possess distinct tonal qualities which range from subtle bass tones to soothing tabla-like tones. Their clay construction is based upon centuries-old African traditions. The name "Udu" has been derived from the Nigerian Ibo language, meaning "pottery". Each LP Udu Drum offers individual tonal values. They can be played by hitting any part of the drum with the palm of the hand or the finger tips. The textured surfaces provide additional tonal variations by creating rubbing sounds. The sound possibilities can be further expanded using the unique microphone ports found in each chamber.
