what exactly do i need for a cheap drum recording set up?
i know i need mics but how do i go from mics to computer with a list of things i need to buy (cheap)
Multiple mics are very important, but they're meaningless if you don't place them strategically. Different mics would be best for different drums, but I'll leave that to someone with more expertise to explain.
Whatever combination you go with, after that all you need is a recorder (multitrack is a must for drums) which can be found on eBay, Amazon, or at any music specialty store. Usually other necessary gear will be included, but be sure to find out first.
Once you've got the music on your computer you're going to want to use a program like Audacity (link below) to mix it.
